Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

Yup, this week’s set of Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking freebies is… Pirates!

MK-Adventureland-Pirates_flag1_sample

This freebie is a waving Jolly Roger style pirate flag, part of my “MK-Adventureland-Pirates” kit. It’s approximately 5x7 inches at 300 dpi and you can download the zipped PNG file from here. I think you’re really going to like using this for any of your pirate-themed layouts!

And as usual, the file you’ll download does not have any shadows applied to it; I added them to the sample up above just for illustration purposes.

That’s it for today; until tomorrow, remember:

An Adventureland 4x6 Frame

Today’s Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking freebie from my “MK-Adventureland” kit is a 4x6 bamboo-style frame.

MDC-MK_Adventureland_4x6_Bamboo_frame_sample

This frame is just slightly larger than 4x6 inches at 300 dpi; it’s sized so the edges of your 4x6 photos will be hidden under the bamboo. You can download the zipped PNG file from here; the file you’ll download will not be shadowed, but as you can see from the sample above, it will look great shadowed on all of your Adventureland pages!

Thanks again for all the kind words! You guys (gals?) really do encourage me so very much! :-)

That’s it for today; until tomorrow, remember:

Every good adventure needs a backstory…

… or at least a good background (paper)! ;-) Today’s Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebie from my “MK-Adventureland” kit is just that… a 12x12 inch at 300 dpi printed “fabric” background paper, suitable for all of your Adventureland (and maybe some Polynesian Resort – hint, hint) layouts!

MDC-MK_Adventureland_Paper1_sample

MDC-MK_Adventureland_Paper1_sample_closeup

You can download the zipped JPG file for the paper from here; I’ve shown you both an overall sample and a close-up of the paper up above so you’ll sort of know what you’re getting.

That’s it for today… boy, do I wish I could take a quick trip to some tropical paradise – we’ve had way too much snow and cloudy weather lately! So until tomorrow, remember…

In case it wasn’t obvious…

…that we’re going to be wandering around Adventureland this week, here’s today’s Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking freebie for you from my “MK-Adventureland” kit! ;-)

MDC-MK_Adventureland_Title1_sample

This carved “wood” tiki-esque title is about 11 inches wide by a little over an inch tall at 300 dpi, so it will work really well for titling any of your Adventureland layout pages! You can download the zipped PNG file from here; the image you’ll download will not be shadowed… I added a shadow to the sample image up above just for illustrative purposes.

Hmmm… Maybe I chose Adventureland this week because I’m really getting tired of winter here in Indiana… and it’s snowing AGAIN! I could definitely use a tropical vacation right now, trust me!

That’s it for today… until tomorrow, remember…

Let’s all go on a Jungle Cruise!

Ahoy, and welcome aboard! Today’s the start of a new week, and as well the start of a new set of Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking freebies for you! I’m starting with a brand new kit; here’s today’s freebie from my MK – Adventureland – Jungle Cruise kit!

MK_Adventure_Jungle_Cruise-JKTopper1_sample

This retro-inspired page topper is a full 12 inches wide by approximately 2 inches tall (300 dpi) and is the perfect topper / title for a Jungle Cruise layout! :-) (While I realize that the current Jungle Cruise boats don’t have striped tops, I just couldn’t resist adding a little nostalgic “tip o’ the hat” to the boats from yesteryear! So, while we have stripes, they’re in the same color scheme as the current boats.) ;-)

You can download the zipped PNG file from here; I hope you enjoy this freebie, and our ride down the various rivers of the Jungle Cruise this week!

Until tomorrow, remember…

Another Fantasyland Paper

Today’s Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebie is another 12x12, 300 dpi paper from my MK-Fantasyland kit.

MDC-MK_Fantasy-Pink_Paper1_sample

You can download the zipped file from here and I hope you find it really useful for any of your Fantasyland layouts!

I’ll admit, I’ve been somewhat preoccupied by all of the terrible news coming out of Haiti, hence why (I guess) I’m a little short-winded today about scrapping… I want to encourage everyone to do whatever they can to help out with the situation. I know there are a lot of worthy charities out there, and one that I highly recommend is the United Methodist Committee On Relief. 100% of any donation you give to UMCOR goes directly toward the disaster relief, and UMCOR avoids tying the promise of its relief and development activity to any religious or political viewpoint.

I hope nobody minds that I put that link there; I just want to try to do whatever I can to help the people in Haiti – thanks for letting me do so!

Today’s Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebie is a little 1 inch by 3 inch (approximate) Cinderella “cardstock” tag from my “MK-Fantasyland” kit.

MDC-MK_Fantasy-Cinderella_Tag-sample

This little 300 dpi tag has Cinderella’s name applied in gold script, and it has a gold staple to “attach” it to your pages! ;-) You can download the zipped PNG file from here.

Thanks to everyone who’s been downloading my files – I’m still thrilled beyond belief that you all enjoy my freebies! Thank you, too, for your wonderful feedback! :-)

A special Fantasyland Banner

Today’s Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking freebie is a Fantasyland banner / title that you can use at the top of any of your Fantasyland pages:

MDC-MK_Fantasy-Fantasyland_Banner_sample

I’ll admit, it took me awhile today to get this piece finished… but I ended up learning a few new things, so it was a good experience! The banner is basically 12 inches wide by a little less than 2 inches tall (probably closer to 1 inch tall, actually) and the only shadows appear on the overlapping pieces; the large overall shadow shown above is not included in the final piece, just the sample.

You can download the zipped PNG file from here; the PNG is also 300 dpi, as usual. :-)

That’s it for today; until tomorrow, remember:

We’re moving on to Fantasyland!

Today’s the start of a new set of Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking freebies for you… and we’re taking a virtual scrapbooking trip all around the Magic Kingdom – this week’s stop – Fantasyland!

MDC-MK_Fantasy-Castle_Walls_Paper1_sample

This 12x12 inch, 300 dpi paper reminds me of what Cinderella Castle looks like during the “Kiss Goodnight” after “Wishes” (especially when all the various colored lights are shining on the walls) and I’ve used a lot of the various Princess colors on it (so any of your royal photos will coordinate really well with it!) :-)

You can download the zipped file here; I hope you enjoy it and find it very useful!

Another Main Street Embellishment

Here’s another Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebie embellishment for you, straight from my “MK – Main Street USA” kit:

MDC-MK_MSUSA-Lady_Bike_Frame1_sample

This embellishment is a little less than 2x3 inches at 300 dpi; you can download the zipped PNG file from here, and the file you’ll receive will not have any shadows on it (just the sample above) so you can rotate it in any direction and then shadow it, if desired.

I really like this girl; I half expect to hear the Dapper Dans serenading her as she pedals her way up or down Main Street, USA, don’t you? ;-) (By the way, this is the last of the 7 freebies from this kit; tomorrow you’ll get the first of the 7 freebies from my next kit! I’m going to be working my way around the Magic Kingdom for a few weeks, so be sure to stop on by again tomorrow!)

How about a Main Street gold “Doo-dad” for you?

Here’s your Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking freebie for today, coming to you from my current “MK – Main Street USA” kit!

MDC-MK_MSUSA-Gold_Damask_Doo-dad_sample

I refer to this as a “Doo-dad” mostly because… I have no idea what to call it! LOL! It’s about 2x2 inches square at 300 dpi, without any shadows applied, and you can download the zipped PNG file from here.

Given its size, you’ll be able to shrink it somewhat if you feel it’s a little big for embellishing your layout page… or keep it just as it is, the choice is yours! :-)

A set of photo corners ready for your Main Street photos!

Here's your Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking freebie for today, straight from my "MK - Main Street, USA" kit!MDC-MK_MSUSA-Photo_Corners_1_sample

Each corner in this set is approximately 1 inch by 1 inch at 300 dpi, and the antique gold coloring would fit in perfectly on Main Street, and with any photos you have from there! The downloadable PNG is not shadowed, just the sample image you see up above. You can download the zipped PNG file from here.

By the way, if this posting looks a little different to you today, it’s because I’m creating it with Windows Live Writer… I’m not 100% certain I’ll keep using it, but for now, I’m going to test it out. About the only difference I can see off the bat is that the link to the download won’t be in red… it will be in the default color, which looks like it’s blue (for now, anyway!) Let me know which you prefer. :-)

Main Street U.S.A.!

I don't remember if I've mentioned this here on my blog, let alone made a very big deal about it here, but my all-time, very favorite place in all of WDW is definitely Main Street U.S.A. We've had the privilege of becoming good friends with several of the Castmembers who happen to "live" there, and they are definitely some of the most wonderful people you could ever hope to know! I also just happen to feel like I'm in Walt's presence whenever I step foot there... and yes, I usually get all teary-eyed when I first walk out from under the train station each trip! 8(:-)

Because it's my favorite place in WDW, I decided to choose it as the first location I would highlight with a specific Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking kit... so without further ado, here's the second freebie from that kit, my "MK - Main Street, USA" kit!

It's a brass title (the PNG file is approximately 8x4 inches, 300 dpi) and the shadows only appear on the sample shown here. You can use this as a page title, or shrink it to fit almost any use you can come up with! :-) Download the zipped PNG file from here.

That's it for today... until tomorrow, remember:

Happy New Year! (One day late... )

But better late than never, though, I suppose!

I just want to wish everyone a very Happy 2010, and I also want to keep you up-to-date with what I'll be doing on this blog.

The plan (if everything goes according to the plan, of course!) is that I will still be posting daily freebies for you; the change will be that instead of me giving you a full kit, though, I'll be giving you freebies that are actually a portion of a full kit. The "plan" is that I will be jumping in with both feet (figuratively speaking) and creating kits to sell... and my daily freebies will be a part of each of those kits.

I don't know how long it will take me to design each of the full kits and put them up for sale - I'm entering somewhat uncharted territory here for me - so please bear with me... I'm really new to this and I'm bound to "mess up" (to paraphrase Six Bits Slocum over at "the Hoop Dee Doo Review") from time to time - but nothing ventured, nothing gained, as the saying goes!

Thank you, too, for all of your continued support and wonderful words of encouragement! I truly appreciate every kind word that anyone has left for me; some days, those words really do make a huge difference in how I look at the world! :-D

So, keep an eye peeled... sometime tomorrow, I'll be posting the first of probably 7 freebies from my all-time favorite part of WDW... Main Street, USA!

So until tomorrow, remember...

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible!"
