I'm having one of those days...

I really want to do something special to round out not only the December kit, but also to kick off New Years... and I'm just not "getting it." My flow of creativity seems to have come to a screeching halt on this kit for some reason.

I'll keep plugging away at it, but if I'm not satisfied with my results, I won't be posting a freebie today. However, starting in the next few days, I'll be starting a brand new kit - what it is will stay a surprise for now, though!

So have a very Happy New Year, and I hope that 2010 will be a wonderful year for you!

Merry Christmas!

It's been a very busy week, what with trying to get ready for the holiday, and having this wretched head/chest cold... I've advanced to the coughing/laryngitis stage... fun... NOT! I'm sorry that I didn't have a chance to post this earlier in the day, but family first as they say. :-)

So here it is, without further ado... today's digital scrapbooking freebie from my Disney-inspired "Very Merry Christmas Kit"...

You can download the zipped PNG file from here. This retro-style title is approximately 11 inches by 2 inches. As usual, the shadows only appear on the sample image here on the blog; you can add a shadow to them if you want... or not! ;-)

We're going to be away from here for a few days... and I guess I won't kid myself this time - I probably won't be posting any freebies until early next week. However, I will be adding a few more pieces to the December kit, so don't worry! We're not done yet! ;-)

That's it for today... until tomorrow, remember:

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible!"

And again... Merry Christmas!

If you've been at WDW this year for the Christmas season...

... then you might know where I got the inspiration for today's freebies! So, without further ado, here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

We kept seeing the absolutely huge Mickey wreath hanging on the Magic Kingdom side of the Contemporary Resort whenever we were travelling to and from that park... which was at least once a day! 8(:-D Well, I decided, what better freebie to give you for a Christmas kit than a similar Mickey wreath? And of course, I had to give you the lighted version, too! The real-deal was absolutely spectacular to see, especially when it was lit! I hope you can put these versions to good use on your pages!

You can download the files from here. I put both PNG files in one combined zipped file. As usual, the shadows only appear on the sample images here on the blog; you can add a shadow to them if you want... or not! ;-) Oh, and each version of the wreath is about 4 inches wide and 3 inches tall... give or take a bit! (You can downsize them, too, if you need to!)

Thanks, too, for being so understanding with my recent bout with my cold/flu/whatever it is... I wanted to get 2 sets of freebies up today, but with everything else on the go... this will probably be it (unless I get really inspired and throw one up really late tonight/early tomorrow... we'll see!)

Hmmm...

Maybe I shouldn't have said "throw one up" and talking about the flu in the same sentence... lol! (It's okay, I'm not sick in that way!)

That's it for today... until tomorrow, remember:

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible!"

I hate the flu... or whatever I've got

It doesn't look good for me to get any freebies up at this point today, and I want to apologize for that. I've been (literally) in bed for most of the past 24 hours, trying to beat this thing into submission (who really enjoys being sick in the 1st place, but at Christmas!!!! That's just adding insult to injury!)

I'll see if I can post a couple of times tomorrow to make up for it; we have no obligations until evening, when we'll (hopefully!) be singing in the choir at our 11:00 service... Brian's got this bug, too, so keep your fingers crossed for both of us.

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding! You guys (gals, mostly!) are great!

A couple of sweet Mickeys

Here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

One of the decorations we saw at the Magic Kingdom last week was some peppermint candies in the classic Mickey shape... so I figure why not make some freebies along that line! They're both about 2 inches square (give or take) and you can use them to embellish your Disney scrapbook pages however you like! 8(:-D

You can download the files from here. I put both PNG files in one combined zipped file. Also, the shadows only appear on the sample images here on the blog; you can add a shadow to them if you want... or not! ;-)

That's it for today... until tomorrow, remember:

Two "Pop"ish Stars for you!

Here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

When I started working on today's freebies, I was instantly reminded of Disney's Pop Century Resort... and maybe the Contemporary Resort, too... both places are a little funky and retro in their design... as are these two freebies! (I just wish I could have been instantly transported back to Pop! LOL!) They're both about 2 inches square (give or take a smidge) and you can use them to embellish your Disney scrapbook pages however you see fit! 8(:-D

You can download the files from here. I put both PNG files in one combined zipped file. Also, the shadows only appear on the sample images here on the blog; you can add a shadow to them if you want... or not! ;-)

That's it for today... until tomorrow, remember:

Two alphas for you!

Here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

I'm giving you two alphas today, one red-based, the other green, both with glittery edges to add that holiday sparkle and "pizazz" to your pages! ;-)

You can download the files from here. I put both 300-dpi PNG files in a combined zipped file and other than a very small shadow on the glitter layer, the shadows only appear on the sample images here on the blog; you can add a shadow to them if you want... or not! ;-)

A great big "Thank You!" to everyone for the recent glowing compliments! I truly appreciate all of your kind words; they really do give me a lot of inspiration to keep plugging away at these freebies! Again, THANK YOU! 8(:-D

A tag for both coasts!

Here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

I decided that I should include something for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland (especially since it all started there!) So I figured I'd give you a couple of tags with both parks included... a great way to easily journal whichever location you happen to be scrapping! 8(:-D

You can download the files from here. I put both PNG files in a combined zipped file and the shadows only appear on the sample image here on the blog; you can add whatever shadows (or not) as you want!

Time for some really "sweet" freebies! ;-)

Here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

While we were down at WDW last week, I kept a "lookout" for ideas that I might want to include with this kit. One common element that seemed to be popping up here and there were candy canes... so I just couldn't resist throwing in a few for you here! (I also wanted to add a little "Disney-inspiration" to them, so I threw in the holly/berries from a few weeks ago on the double "heart" candy canes!)

You can download the files from here. I went ahead and put them in a combined zipped file since none of the three of them were extremely large files to begin with. And, the shadows only appear on the sample image here on the blog; the only shadows on the PNG files themselves are on the heart canes, and just to add dimension and depth between the holly and the two canes; you can add whatever shadows (or not) as you deem fit!)

These freebies were a bit of a challenge!

Here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

I decided to really challenge myself today, and attacked the illusive creativity bug head-on by creating these two shiny Mickey-themed ornaments. Since I wanted to give you two freebies, I decided to make one without any writing on it, and the other with "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" in white "puffy" painted writing.

You can download the files from here. I put them in a combined zipped file since neither of them were extremely large files to begin with.

Some seasonal mulberry papers for you!

Here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

These are two seasonal-colored mulberry style papers, both 12x12 inches and 300 dpi.

You can download the files from here and here. I put them in separate zip files due to their combined size.

Also, thanks so very much for your patience while I was down at WDW! I'm slowly getting back to the swing of things... next thing you know, it's going to be Christmas! 8(:-D

The passing of Roy E. Disney

I'll be posting my freebies later today (the upload is going very slowly for some reason) but I just had to voice my sadness at the passing today of Roy E. Disney, the son of Roy O. and nephew of Walt.

I'm so very sad over this news; the only real consolation I feel right now is that this didn't happen while we were down at WDW last week - I don't know if I could handle being there during this time, and I have Roy's family as well as all of the Disney Castmembers around the world in my thoughts and prayers right now... they truly are one huge family, and this news must be next to unbearable for them, as well.

One thing I am very grateful for... nearly six years ago, (through a mutual friend) I sent Roy a "digital watercolor" print I had created of his father's statue (the one where Roy's sitting on the bench with Minnie, normally seen at the base of Main Street, USA...) Well, several weeks later, I received a thank you letter from Roy, and it's among my most prized possessions now. I had a copy of the print and the letter and envelope professionally framed, and the message he wrote has served as an inspiration for me many times during the past five plus years.

I never got to meet him (one of my deep regrets) but I will always feel a connection to him through knowing how much he appreciated my artwork - and I will always appreciate the love he had for both the Disney company and the entire Disney family, Castmembers and actual family alike.

Finally! Back home and back with the Freebies!

What is it they say about hindsight? Yeah, it's 20/20... and in hindsight, I really should have realized that I wasn't going to be successful at uploading (or working on) my freebies while down at WDW last week. Sigh... seems like we were out the door of our room at Pop at the crack of dawn, and didn't return until nearly (or after, even!) midnight the entire week! That's one good thing about having a tween and a teen now - they don't tend to wear out as early as they used to! LOL!

Well, as I promised last week, I'm going to get caught up with these freebies by giving you 2 each day... maybe I'll just continue it for the whole month at this point! (I'm still recovering from the week @ WDW plus the drives down and back, so it may be a couple days until I get my designing "mojo" back!)

Here are today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebies from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

These two glittered Mickey head ornaments are companion pieces to the red one I uploaded earlier... I hope you like them!

You can download the files from here. I've put both files into one zipped file; neither ornament has shadows applied; just the samples here on my blog.

Thanks so very much for your patience while I was away! 8(:-D

(So what's the worst thing about coming home from WDW for us? The change in temperature! It was in the 80s on Sunday when we started back home... and right now, it's only 21 here in Indiana! Brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!)

That's it for today... until tomorrow, remember:

As I promised yesterday... here's 2 Freebies for you!

Here's today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebie from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download (and you get 2 since I didn't upload one yesterday!):

It looks like I'm starting a bit of a theme here... I've got 2 "funky stars" pieces for you; one is a 12x12, 300 dpi paper, and the other is a felted Mickey head in the same pattern.

You can download the files from here. I've put both files into one zipped file; the felted Mickey head does not have any shadows applied to it; just the sample on here on my blog.

I have a feeling that I'll be uploading files on and off here... We'll have internet access for most of the time, but I really hate to pay for it every day when we're hardly going to be in the room! So, if I do miss a day, I'll get you caught up, don't worry! :-D

Thanks so very much for your patience and comments! 8(:-D

Just a note today... 2 freebies will come tomorrow!

I wanted to let you know that I won't be posting a freebie today, but I will have a couple to put up for you tomorrow. It's been a long day on the road, and I just now remembered I didn't put anything up! (I swear my brain is fried this week from lack of sleep or just the chaotic schedule I've been keeping!)

We have another road-trip day tomorrow, but it will be easier to do some work on my netbook at that time (today it just wasn't going to happen...) and I'll upload a couple freebies for you once we get to Pop!

Thanks for your patience! 8(:-D

Until then, remember...

Here's a Snowflake Tag for you!

Here's today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebie from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

It's a little Mickey-Snowflake felted "gift tag" embellishment that you can use on all of those Disney-gift-opening photo layouts from Christmas morning! ;-)

You can download the file from here. It's a 300-dpi PNG file and it does not have any shadows applied to the image.

Just a "heads up" message now... we will be travelling and down at WDW for the next week-and-a-bit... so I have no idea how often I will be posting my freebies. I plan on posting daily, but given that my "plans" often seem to go awry... well... if I don't have a freebie posted one day, I'll probably give you two the next! Sound fair?

Thanks so much for hanging in there with me! (I've never tried to keep up with my freebies and be away from home! Yeah, I'm nervous! LOL!)

Haul out the Holly... 8(:-D

Here's today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebie from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

I made this little Mickey-berried Holly sprig as an add-on to our Very Merry Christmas Party t-shirts that we'll be wearing next week at the Magic Kingdom, so I thought I'd share it with you, too! 8(:-D

You can download the file from here. It's a 300-dpi PNG file (it's supposed to look like it's made out of felt) that's about 3.5 x 5 inches, and it does not have any shadows applied to the image.

My, oh, my... there just aren't enough hours in the day! I have *SO* much to do before we leave on Saturday!!! (Proverbial chicken time!)

You can download this title from here. It's a 300-dpi PNG file (it's supposed to look like it's made out of felt) that does not have any shadows applied (I just put them on the sample, lol!)

Thanks so very much for your comments and good wishes... I think we're going to have a wonderful time down at WDW - I'm really looking forward to the trip!

The first "Very Merry Christmas Kit" freebie...

Here's today's Disney-inspired digital scrapbook freebie from my "Very Merry Christmas Kit", ready for download:

You can download this title from here. It's a 300-dpi PNG file, not shadowed, and I think you're really going to get a kick out of it and the other freebies that I'll be posting this month! I'm really excited about it (December is one of my all-time-favorite months of the year!) even though it's going to be a hectic month for me. We're actually going to be going down to WDW next week (I'm still packing... and panicking, LOL!) so my freebies may be coming to you at all hours... even worse than usual, LOL! Well, that's what happens when you're down at WDW... the time gets away from you! (That's why I'm doing my best to work ahead on some of these freebies!)

And a huge THANK YOU for all of the oh-so-wonderful comments this week! I'm so very, VERY thankful for all of you, and your comments really do lift my spirits so many times! Thank You! 8(:-D
